(RPA), Cyber Security Data Analytics etc have not only transformed but have significantly
broadened the spectrum of opportunities available for the Chartered Accountants who are in
practice. We need to explore and remain extremely vigilant about the potential opportunities
that are worth utilising. For the same a careful study and analysis of the various trends and
developments in the respective sectors is essential. The same shall guide our way forward
towards understanding the dynamics of the sector and accordingly figuring out the best of the
untapped opportunities.

I am very happy to note that the Professional Development Committee (PDC) of ICAI has come
out with its revised edition of its E-book on “Quick Insights on Professional Opportunities
for Chartered Accountants” which shall include information on various emerging professional
opportunities in prominent sectors such as RERA, Ind AS, Companies Act, 2013, GST, Registered
Valuers, Forensic Audit, International Taxation, Insolvency Practice, PSU & Bank Audit etc and
many others. The publication shall serve as a ready reckoner for the members towards exploring
the worthwhile opportunities in various sectors of economy. I am sure that the members would
find this publication extremely useful towards the objective.
