Sir/Madam,
Our firm has been appointed as Branch Auditor of a Government Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) for the financial year 2025-26. In this regard, while we have issued our Independent Audit Report under the Companies Act, 2013 and the Branch has prepared its financial statements in accordance with Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013, a query has arisen as to whether the financial statements are to be signed in absolute figures or in rounded-off figures as per the relevant MCA notification. We seek clarification on this matter, as the auditee is insisting that the financial statements be signed in absolute figures.
