Salaried person revised return new regime original return old regime
Salaried person filed return by choosing old regime within due date for ay25-26. Now he wants to file revised return by changing option to new regime. Is it correct as per IT law

for me not possible...since the revised return can be filed only if there are ommissions or wrong statements in the original return....I dont find any such thing...so strictly interpreting sub sec 5 of 139...not possible

Yes. It is possible. We filed one Return, where the Assessee, ultimtely got more benefit under New Regime. I understand, the reason is New Regime is under Default. Old Regime is you need to choose/opt. Hence reverse (filed New Regime and wanted to change to Old Regime) is not possible.

Yes, One can file Updated return without refund.Appicable if income from business / profession is absent
