Updated IT return for Fin Year 23-24
While preparing Updated return for above year, Is it possible to file Income Tax return with Rs 1000- late fee by keeping Taxable income below 5 Lacs ?

For an Updated Return (u/s 139(8A)), you cannot opt for the ?1,000 late fee by keeping taxable income below ?5,00,000. The ?1,000 late fee under section 234F applies only to belated or revised returns, not to Updated Returns.
