Advertisement in JUST DIAL
Justdial persons are calling CA FIRMS to place its name on top 5 or 10 on payment of annual fees which is direct violation of ICAI GUIDELINES. Is it allowed? Whether concerned committee so motto verifies such violations or not. One may see some companies names are spelledout while asking for subscription. Is it allowed. As per the announcement no. ICAI/ESB/2014/01 of the Ethical Standard Board, sharing of details of CA firm for ranking of CA firms to claim superiority of one firm over other is prohibited in terms of the Advertisement Guidelines of the ICAI under Item 7 of Part –I of First Schedule to The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. Moreover, as per another announcement of ESB of year 2019, order of entry in such online platforms should not be other than alphabetical. If the firm has violated said announcement related to advertisement, peer reviewer can comment on it in his report.
