You can intimate the Institute by filing a Form ( FORM 190A) about your employment as paid assistant. Your full time COP will become part time. There is no need to surrender your COP.

1. The person needs to inform the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) about their employment as a paid assistant. 2o This can be done by filing Form 190A, which provides details about the employment arrangement. 3. as a result, his/her full-time COP will be converted into a part-time COP. 3. He/she can continue to hold their COP without surrendering it. 4. The CA firm where they are employed should provide written confirmation indicating the date of joining and, if applicable, the date of leaving. 5. This confirmation needs to be submitted to the ICAI within 30 days.
