GST for Transporter
Company is engaged in providing transport service. GST has to be paid under RCM method by the service receiver. Now, in one cases company itself is paying GST under Forward Charge Mechanism(FCM) approach.
Can it be possible to opt RCM in few cases & FCM in few cases.

In my opinion liability to pay cannot be shifted. The tax due has to be collected and charged only on the right person.

No, because GST Council on its decision taken in their 20th meeting held on 5-8-2017 has decided that GTA has to give an option at the beginning of the financial year and to choose either FCM or RCM meaning thereby hybrid system of levy is not permitted.
