BSE Sensex posts 6th straight weekly gain
After posting best gains in over four months, the benchmark indices took a breather on Friday. The BSE benchmark Sensex closed a shade below Thursday’s close, while the 50-unit S&P CNX Nifty ended with single-digit gains. But for the week, the 30-share Sensex posted sixth straight week of gains — the longest streak in more than two years.On Friday, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth $1.08 million, while domestic institutional investors bought $39.52 million, according to provisional data on the exchanges. In YTD, FIIs have bought $14.14 billion worth of shares.
