Idea net up 23% on higher call rates
Kumaramangalam Birla-controlled Idea Cellular on Monday reported a 23% sequential increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 728.20 crore for the quarter ended June 30 on the back of higher call rates and mobile data realisation.
The company, third largest in terms of market share, reported a 7.34% increase in its revenue to R7,560.99 crore sequentially due to “balanced growth with sequential quarterly voice minutes expansion by 5.2% and average realisation per minute (ARRM) improvement of 3.3%”, said a company release.
