Can a trust registered under Indian Trust act 1882 for imparting education be treated as charitable trust? Can this trust be illegible to be registered under 12 A of I.Tax act 1961?

Yes, it is eligible. Since it is a educational trust, refer 10(23C)(iiiab), (iiiad) and (vi) also.

Registration under Trust Act and Income Tax Act is different.It is not illegible if proper return is filed with full particulars.

Yes "advancement of education" is included in section 2(15) as Charitable purpose. It cannot be illegal.
