Assets apportionment of Member of HUF
How assets of a member of HUF can be apportioned? Whether it will go to heir only or it can be apportioned to the HUF? Is assets can also be apportioned in between both ?

Apportionment of Assets of an Individual is completely dependent on his own will. He may bring his asstes into HUF or he may transfer them to his heir. However in case of death of an individual, assets shall be apportioned between his legal heirs only.

If property is self-acquired by member or ancestral, but not part of HUF property, it will be apportioned between his heirs or can be apportioned as per will.
