we are helping one of my client for just for e-filing GST returns based on return data provided by the client without verifying the accuracy of the data since the client is not well converged with the efiling process. our question is can we under take the GST audit of the client.

yes, you can conduct GST audit. However, you have to see books of accounts and same is to be verifiied.

Yes, why not? But, please be aware of the responsibility on your shoulders. If you are well versed with the industry of your client, your client is transparent with you on facts and you are willing to discharge the duties of such a fiduciary relationship, you should take this assignment and help the client meet his obligations properly.
